Born on February 10, 1984, in the Kalungu Masaka District of Uganda, Kiggundu has emerged as a prominent businessman, investor, real estate tycoon, property developer, philanthropist, author, and lawyer.

Two of his notable works are “Success and Failure Based on Reason and Reality” and “Reason as the World Masterpiece.” These books delve into the intricacies of success and failure in the business realm, providing invaluable insights for aspiring entrepreneurs. In fact, “Success and Failure Based on Reason and Reality” received critical acclaim and was nominated for the “Business Motivation” category at the Book Forum of Uganda in Kampala.

Kiggundu’s dedication to philanthropy is also noteworthy. In April 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, he made substantial donations of food relief to Uganda’s task force, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of his fellow countrymen. Furthermore, he extended his generosity to over 100 Ugandan journalists through the Uganda Journalists Association. While his actions were commendable, there was some criticism regarding cash handouts to journalists, highlighting the complexities of philanthropic endeavours.

In July 2021, Kiggundu once again showcased his humanitarian spirit by offering to assist Uganda in acquiring COVID-19 vaccine doses. This act of benevolence reflects his unwavering commitment to fostering the health and prosperity of his nation.

When it comes to the financial realm, few can match the success achieved by Hamis Kiggundu. As of March 2021, Forbes estimated his net worth to be a staggering USD $870 million. This figure is a testament to his astute business acumen and investments, solidifying his position as one of Uganda’s wealthiest individuals.
