In a recent address, President Kais Saied of Tunisia has declared that the country is facing a “terrorist” plot aimed at “starving the people.” His remarks came during the appointment ceremony of Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Hachani.

President Saied emphasized the need to confront this new form of terrorism that is targeting the livelihood and security of Tunisians. He asserted that there is no room for tolerance towards such individuals and that they must be held accountable for their actions.

In his speech, President Saied highlighted the severity of the situation, stating that those who manipulate the people’s livelihood and security within Tunisia will face consequences under the law and undergo a fair trial. He further claimed that the ongoing struggles faced by citizens are a result of behind-the-scenes lobbying efforts that are aimed at exacerbating social conditions. President Saied stressed the importance of confronting these clandestine forces in order to protect the well-being of the nation.

On Tuesday evening, he dismissed Najla Bouden from her role as Prime Minister and appointed Ahmed Al-Hachani as her successor. Al-Hachani, a former executive at the central bank who has now retired, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position.

Since assuming office, President Kais Saied has made it his priority to eradicate corruption while promoting economic growth and social justice. His efforts have been met with both praise and criticism. However, his commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the interests of the Tunisian people remains steadfast.
